Gillian (the owner of Phrizbie-Design.com, http://www.phrizbie-design.com) shared one of her artful site design projects, which makes use of my last Calla Lily product. And I have to say that I am thrilled to see such an artful use of these blooms:
I can't help it, it's thrilling for me to see a completed project with my digitally painted work employed so artfully in this way. Really . . .from my garden, where I get all thrilled to be able to cut a single bloom and bring it in to sit beside my computer . . .to my keyboard/wacom tablet . . . to my online store . . . to Gillian's own creative design. based on her wonderfully tallented eye, put to use for the needs of her own business . . . and serve the needs yet again for someone else's business . . .what a fabulous cycle of creativity this represents. It started with a little flower seed and passed through many innovative and thoughtful hands to make it to a webdesign to reach the public.
I'm really blessed to be able to see this digitally painted flower come to fruition this way in this business model. Thank you so much for sharing this design with me, Gillian!
And I want to add that I'm happy if several women (or even men) are able to add to their income along the way, given this economy, by this creative process, as it unfolds in online ecommerce. It's really gratifying to see how this works.
One creates something . . .you sell it . . .someone else buys it and they create something from it to enable someone else to make a living as well. This is how e-commerce on is supposed to work. Adding value through creative insight and enterprise. This is how the economy is supposed to go around and around. Give you something to feel encouraged about when we hear so much bad news on TV. You can simply plant a flower in your yard, grow it, and use your inspiration and skills to paint it and turn it into a product that can generate small bites of income that grow in surprising ways.
Yes, that's what happened. I planted and grew that Calla Lily and here it is, passed on through several different businesses to support more than one business in more than one way. Not to mention all the pleasure I got from it. It was, after all, just one bloom, from just one plant. |
